“Barely There” Makeup For Spring

Really I should have called this post, “The Mama Makeup Post,” because that’s what it really is. It’s my secret to my get myself dressed, two kids, everything packed up and get out the door makeup! I’m sure you know what I’m talking about! We all have days when the time is lacking and we need to put our “face on.” Well, these are three of the products that I use for just those “barely there” makeup occasions (all from Pixi)!

For those days when you just want a tad bit of color and coverage I recommend Pixi’s Hydrating Milky Mist, Minimal Makeup Book of Beauty and Nourishing Lip Polish. You can pretty much use all three and walk out of the house without looking like you just climbed out of bed.

I like to begin my minimal makeup routine with Pixi’s Hydrating Milky Mist. After washing your face just spritz it all over. It’s very light and hydrates your face with hyaluronic acid to plump the skin as well. It also has black oat, provitamin A, and linoleic acid to moisturize. You can then add foundation or powder but it’s certainly not needed on a minimal day because it will have your skin glowing. And feel free to throw it in your handbag and spritz it on throughout the day!

Pixi’s Book of Beauty – Minimal Makeup is a fantastic palette. It contains 2 highlighters, 2 cheek shades, and 4 eye shades. I use all over the face, to brighten up any shadows as well as add color to the cheeks and eyes.

I’m about to have to go buy another tube of Pixi’s nourishing lip polish because I’ve almost used all of mine! Before walking out the door use this product to exfoliate and nourish your lips. It contains shea butter and a blend of sweet almond, apricot, and evening primrose oils. It also has a really unique massage applicator that stimulates circulation and plumps the lips. If you want a little more color you can polish your lips and then add a bit of lipstick or colored gloss.

And that’s it! Seriously… we are talking like 5 minutes here to the perfect “barely there” look!
