A couple days before Thanksgiving I was working and saw an email pop up from Lincoln Motor Company. I quickly clicked on it and my jaw dropped! Lincoln was gathering thought-leaders and influencers from across the country and flying them out to LA for the release of the world premiere of their highly anticipated Lincoln Aviator 2020 and I had kindly received an invitation. I quickly grabbed my phone to call my bestie and fellow influencer, Aquila Mendez-Valdez of Haute in Texas, and when she picked up I immediately said, “Check your email!” I’m sure you can imagine the giddiness that followed!
We did the working mom schedule scramble and hopped on a plane to LA! It was a whirlwind 24 hours with a brand that I truly admire. Come along for the trip and see the first reveal of this amazing new addition to the Lincoln fleet!
After checking in to the Dream Hotel in Hollywood we were off to the Lincoln press briefing at Milk Studios. The press briefing was led by President of Lincoln, Joy Falotico, who is incredibly personable and also one amazing woman that I can’t help but admire.
The amount of thought that went in to this vehicle truly blew my mind – no detail was forgotten. The Aviator was built around the concept of “The Quiet Flight” and as I saw the Aviator and learned more about it the concept completely resonated.
The Aviator is a 3-row, mid-size SUV that seats up to seven passengers with the perfect balance of power, technology and luxury. It features a Twin-Turbocharged 3.0L V6 engine with more than 450 horsepower and also has a hybrid option.
One of my favorite aspects of the vehicle is you can safely use your smartphone as a key!
It is also packed with available technology! The Aviator offers all kinds of driver assist technologies such as Reverse Brake Assist, Active Park Assist Plus, Traffic Sign Recognition and will also auto-adjust to different road conditions.
The Aviator’s Adaptive Pixel LED Headlamps help you see the road better as well as camera technology to read road signs and lane markings.
The Aviator features a very large and bright head up display in the industry. The seats are incredibly comfortable with available massage and heat/cooling options. Additionally, you have access to 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot and a 3D Revel Audio system making your Aviator a true sanctuary on the road.
As you can see it’s a beautiful vehicle filled with top-of-the-line features.
After a wonderful Lincoln press briefing Aquila and I took advantage of a short break to enjoy a motorcycle side car tour with CoPilot tours around LA! We had such a blast as you can clearly tell from the photos! A huge thank you to Aquila’s sister, Hadley, who owns a travel planning company that specializes in finding unique experiences and discovered this awesome tour for us (and on VERY short notice as well).
After our fun tour across the city we ran back to the hotel to tame our crazy helmet hair and get all cleaned up for the evening’s festivities with Lincoln. The evening was to include a lovely intimate dinner, reveal of the Aviator and private performance by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and Hiplet Ballerinas. The performance embodied the strength, beauty and grace of the vehicle.
The dinner was on the rooftop of the Dream Hotel and the Lincoln team had placed the new Aviator over the roof top pool using a crane. It was artfully decorated and continued to resonate the “Quiet Flight” message.
In addition to the honor of sitting with Lincoln CEO, Joy Falotico, we also sat with Meghan O’Leary, American Rower, who is also not only such a cool gal but is incredibly inspiring.
As you can see it was a completely whirlwind but also a true honor to have been selected to assist in showing this beautiful vehicle. Thank you to the entire Lincoln team for their incredible hospitality. To learn more about the Lincoln Aviator click here. You can also watch my instastories coverage here.
