Mommy Tori has been going a little DIY crazy this week! On Wednesday we made homemade bath salts and today we are making sugar lip scrub! Today’s DIY was inspired from one of my Australian blogging friends over at Beautiful Kayekie. I tell her all the time that she has the most fabulous DIYs! She is my go-to for makeup, DIYs and all things beauty! To visit her blog click here.
Ingredients:
- 1 tsp. Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp. Agave Nectar (you can also substitute honey or maple syrup)
- 1 tsp. Olive Oil
- Vanilla Extract (optional)
- Small Container with Lid
What I love about this recipe is most people will have all these items in their pantry.
First just add the 1 tbs. of brown sugar to 1 tbs. of Agave Nectar.
Then pour in 1 tsp. of Olive Oil.
Add a couple drops of Vanilla Extract (I’m obsessed with the scent of Vanilla) and stir it all together.
I love the warm toasty color of the lip scrub!
Put it in a little jar with a lid and it will be good for at least a week (I don’t know if mine is going to last that long).
After applying it to your lips, wash it off with warm water and then apply Vaseline or lip balm after. Your lips will be super smooth!
I hope you enjoy this DIY! Please let me know if you make some!
This is my sTORI being written as you read. – Love, Mommy Tori
I should try that one out (-: Thanks
Very welcome! I really like it!
Beautiful Tori! Thank you so much for the shout out!!
I loved the idea of adding vanilla extract and keeping it stored in your own container, so much more handy than mixing a new batch every time you want to use it. You rock, as always! 😀
You are the one who rocks! You inspired the WHOLE post!!
I ran out of brown sugar this week (baked too many batches of cookies lol) and I was all sad I couldn’t just pop into the pantry and make some more 🙂
I’m with you, DIY is awesome.
I love DIY skin car products!
Thank you!! It’s so great to hear when people enjoy them!
Looks yum! I love how easy this looks…adding to my to do list!
Let me know what you think when you make it!
I want to try it! Do you think I could use honey since I don’t have agave?
Definitely – most recipes actually use honey. I just had Agave so I used that instead.
Thanks Tori!! I’ll be making this when I get back home from picking up my little girl at school!!! :o)
That’s awesome!! Thank you for commenting and stopping by my blog!
So awesome. I love vanilla too….and I’m not much of a diy’er usually but I think I could handle putting this together (plus, I do have all of the items in my pantry!)
Perfect!! Looks like a good weekend project!
Yum yum this looks so great! Stop by and say hi 🙂
This is awesome! So trying this.
Let me know what you think!
