Wow! Seriously just wow! I could have never imagined that an idea that I had at midnight would go viral and turn in to the amazing movement that it did yesterday! #ProudSAWoman rocked my world. After viewing hundreds of pictures and thousands of Tweets, Facebook posts and Instagram pictures I am absolutely floored by the power of San Antonio women. I am so honored to live in a city full of such empowering women who use their voice for good.

Because of you, we flooded social media – letting people know that body shaming is NEVER ok and the comments that Charles Barkley made should never be accepted in silence.

Extra thanks to the phenomenal, Melanie Mendez-Gonzales and Michelle Cantu for answering my midnight call and jumping on board with no hesitation! And all the other amazing San Antonio bloggers… you have a special place in my heart! This never would have taken root if it wasn’t for you!

To every #ProudSAWoman out there….thank you for being by my side. Thank you for standing with me! You are all beautiful inside and out!

I’m a proud mom!! You did an awesome job standing up for SA women!! It is sad that some people have forgotten the old saying “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all”. The double edge of media & social media; unfortunately it has propagated this bad behavior but also holds different standards for different individuals.
