Christine A. Moore, designer and owner of Christine A. Moore Millinery has been creating hats professionally for over twenty years. After studying costume design and fine arts in college she worked as a costume designer, and in many theatrical costume shops.  It was at the Walnut Street Theater in Philadelphia where she fell in love with the craft of millinery.

From March 20-22 at Julian Gold you can meet Christine in person and get her advice on which piece is right for you. Plus 10 percent of all hat sales will be donated to Le Brunch des Chapeaux for the Autism Community Network, which is coming up on April 11! Such a fun event for a great cause!

In 1994 she established Christine A. Moore Millinery in NYC on 34th Street between the fashion and accessories districts.  Although Christine designs a wide range of hats, she is best known for her explosive racing styles for the Kentucky Derby, two of which are in the Kentucky Derby Museum.

Each hat is hand dyed and hand blocked and created with the finest of trim materials. This finishing touch adds quality to the design, creating a comfortable hat to wear as well as protecting the hat from wear. Hat linings also help to reduce the effect of “hat hair”!

From bright colors to adornments, Christine A. Moore’s hat designs are simply fabulous!
