My hubby and I are in our first home. Like every first home, when we moved in it was bare and builder beige! Every couple of months I select a new area of the house and decorate it. Well, SEVERAL months ago I selected the front entryway to direct all my attention to (I’ve been being a major procrastinator about this blog post for some reason).

Your front entryway really sets the tone for the rest of the house. It welcomes guests and gives a sneak peek to what the rest of the home’s decor will entail. With this in mind I was really struggling with what I wanted. Of course, Mrs. W. came to the rescue! We put our heads together and started with the “Console Table Grand Search.” Mrs. W. found this amazing console table at World Market that I absolutely had to have! After finding out they were out of stock online, I tried calling every World Market in the near vicinity of San Antonio with no luck. I was so sad and even called Daddy Russ to whine. Well, MUCH to my surprise Daddy Russ showed up after work with MY CONSOLE TABLE!! I have no idea to this day how he got it.

The metal, industrial detailing makes it very stylish.

I found this metal wire basket at Hobby Lobby for 50% off.

The basket is filled with burlap, old buttons from my grandmother and skeleton keys that I got on eBay.

I found this adorable old barn wood framed mirror on an Etsy story called Miss Hettie’s.

I was helping my Nannie clean out her house for a garage sale and she had a couple old cameras. I snagged all of them!

It’s very easy to make a cute little book stack like this. Just find a bunch of old books and tear the cover off. Then tie together with some cloth, burlap or twine.

An adorable little lantern that I found at Home Goods for a bargain.

What is your latest decorating project?

This is my sTORI being written as you read. – Love, Mommy Tori
