There’s nothing better than spending a day at the San Antonio Zoo! San Antonio seriously has such an amazing zoo and we love visiting (not to mention they have the coolest marketing programs that are so fun to follow along with and see in the news).

One of our favorite times of year is when the zoo hosts Jungle Boogie Nights which is always a ROARING GOOD TIME! From now until August 10th, the San Antonio Zoo is hosting their Jungle Boogie Nights every Saturday. That’s right – the zoo completely transforms when the sun goes down. Starting at 6pm each Saturday night guests can enjoy live music and adult beverages, plus food and family fun games!

I always head up a bit early so we can walk the entire zoo and then head over for the carousel and LIVE MUSIC! Sprinkled through out the zoo is tons of educational opportunities as well as games. In the photo above Luke enjoyed pretending to examine an alligator’s nest (while learning a bunch at the same time).

Did you know the San Antonio Zoo has the largest rhino statue in the world?! It’s right by the new Rhino Exhibit which is a can’t miss! It’s directly across from the giraffes which are also a personal favorite.

Hip-Hip Horray for Hippos! Talk about striking a pose! We happened to stop in right at feeding time and it was the absolutely coolest. The kids (and mommy) were totally mesmerized and talk about the perfect photo opp!

Jungle Boogie Nights is included for annual pass holders, or $9 per ticket for each guest over the age of three years old. Curious about who will be performing? You’ll hear tunes from Ponciano Seone Acoustic Night on August 3rd, and Safety Patrol 80’s Theme Night on August 10th.

Did I mention that there’s a special Wild Australia Exhibit until September 2nd with koalas. We absolutely loved seeing these adorable furry creatures during our day at the zoo!
