With Spring Break last week and all the craziness lately I have to admit that I’m running a few weeks behind on this post so I apologize in advance! Each season I make a point to attend the Neiman Marcus trend show. It’s the perfect opportunity to learn, not only what the coming trends are, but also how to wear them. The Spring 2017 show exceeded all expectations with fabulous fashion, beauty highlights as well as a unique, intimate runway layout that allowed more attendees to get up close and personal with the looks. I hope you enjoy this look back through the show as I showcase the different trends you should start wearing NOW!

TREND 1: NEUTRAL TERRITORY
Embrace your neutrals! Rock monotone looks such as all over white or creams. Even as a mom I still love a classic all white look (just remember to keep a Tide pen in your handbag).

Stripes, stripes and more stripes! Layer them. Experiment with mixing different size stripes. Or even make a statement with brightly colored stripes. It’s all welcome in this trend!

TREND 3: FULLY LOADED
As Ken Downing always says, “More is more and less is a bore!” This trend has definitely taken a note from his fashion book. Pile it all on. The more embellishments the better!

Ladylike and lovely – this trend is a definitely a fave of mine. Particularly pay attention to those flared sleeves and peek-a-boo shoulders.

In addition to the fabulous runway show, Neiman Marcus always makes each event an experience. Local artist, Rex Hausmann was in attendance drawing portaits and I was honored to have mine done (it’s now beautifully displayed on my dresser).

Ruffles and flounces are great ways to give those normal boring pieces some character! I love neutrals and stripes for the warmer months. Plus they are always able to be paired with bold statement accessories like colorful shoes or bags to jazz my wardrobe up. Thanks for your insight and sharing photos from the event.
