There is something magical about Christmas and it’s amplified by children. I’ve always been a big “Christmas person” trying to celebrate it as much as I possibly can and when I became a mother I wanted my children to know the true meaning of CHRISTmas as well as wanted them to capture the joyful memories and traditions that I have from my childhood. I was wanting to do something extra special for the boys and our friends who have been so amazing to us this year and came up with the idea to have Santa come to our house and have a Santa Pictures Christmas Party (and luckily Daddy Russ is usually fairly game for my shenanigans). It was absolutely one of the best ideas I ever had! Seeing the pure joy on Luke’s face and the other children was priceless! I wanted to share some of the awesome photos with you from the party (nothing beats Luke’s face when Santa arrived). I also have to say a HUGE thank you to my friend and photographer, Candace Schaddelee, for capturing all the children!
I mean is this PURE JOY or what?! I can’t help but laugh out loud every time I see this photo!
I’ve known “Santa Williams” for about 6 years now. He’s one of the nicest people I truly met and is so incredible with the kids.
Foster was so intrigued by Santa and wasn’t scared at all!
Shop My Outfit:
I snagged my festive paper plates and napkins at Target and fresh flowers are a must in my book when entertaining.
I decided I wanted to make some special appetizers. These are smoked salmon crositinis and I’ll do a separate post with the recipe.
These were amazing… pear, marscarpone with walnuts. I’ll also do a separate post with this recipe.
Antipasta kabobs and prociutto wraps with cheese.
One of my fave appetizers… spinach dip in a bread bowl.
I found these adorable wood platters at World Market and made pretty table settings.
Candace caught me hard at work cooking! I’m not very good at making dinner but I love doing appetizers for entertaining!
My mom and stepfather are the best grandparents! Not only did they help with my kids but they helped with our friends’ kids as well!
Santa answering questions from some of the kids before the house filled up!
It was a magical evening and definitely a tradition we have to continue! Merry Christmas everyone!
