A little boy puts his finger to his lips and says, “Shhh!!! I hear Santa!” Then he reaches underneath the tree and pulls out a little red Hot Wheel toy car and gleefully says, “Look, Mommy! Santa came!” as he holds up the car (that he hid) with the biggest smile on his face.
No, it’s not Christmas morning – it’s my house just a couple days ago. Luke has been filled with Christmas Spirit and his anticipation is palpable. He has also brought the Christmas Spirit to Daddy Russ and I. We laugh when he is filled each morning with amazement when he sees that his Elf on the Shelf “Pumpkinny” has moved. My heart warms when he tells me, “Merry Christmas, Mommy!” about five times each day. And I can’t help but crack up as he continually hides random items under the tree and pretends Santa has come again! I hope that your home is infected by as much Christmas Spirit as mine is!
