Formula 1 Austin with G.H. MUMM Champagne

If you were following my social media feeds a couple weeks ago you know that I had the pleasure of attending Formula 1 Austin with G.H. MUMM champagne. G.H. MUMM has been the official champagne of Formula 1 for the past 10 years. Formula 1 racing is one of the world’s most widely watched sports events, attracting over two billion viewers throughout the season. It was my first time attending a Formula 1 race and it is definitely something I would recommend putting on your bucket list. G.H. MUMM put together a true VIP weekend experience filled with racing excitement, behind-the-scenes opportunities, delicious food and celebratory toasts! We had the incredible opportunity to go down on the track in to the pits before the race. It was so neat getting to see the cars up close and the teams preparing for the race. I’m standing with my friend Debbie in front of American Alexander Rossi’s car.

The weather threw a bit of a kink in the weekend but didn’t take away from the fun. A hurricane went in to Mexico the day before and then proceeded to basically go across drenching Texas so the qualifiers on Saturday were actually canceled. Luckily, we were in an indoor suite the whole time with lots of champagne to enjoy! It was actually pretty cold down on the track.

This is right before the start of the race. Even though the weather wasn’t great fans streamed in for race day! It is such an international event and you could hear different languages being spoken everywhere.

We were specifically cheering on the Lotus F1 Team. I had the pleasure of meeting two former racers, Greg Thornton and Rick Carlino. They are still racing under Titan Historic Racing and Greg ended up winning in Mexico the following week! They gave me a play-by-play during the race which was incredibly cool!
