My dear sTORIbook readers… I am incredibly honored to have been nominated for San Antonio Fashion Blogger AND Stylist of the Year. I would be beyond grateful if you could take a moment to vote in the San Antonio Fashion Awards for me (you don’t have to be from San Antonio to vote).
Four years ago I fell in love with the idea of telling my story and decided to start a blog. At first it was just glimpses in to my new life as a mother but then gradually it became an outlet for me to share my passion for God, fashion, beauty and life. I’ve truly left my heart and soul here in these writings.
My fingers shook as I wrote nights before my heart surgeries fearing the day to come. I laid my heart bare as I shared our struggle with infertility. I leaned on the support of my readers as Hyperemesis Gravidarum hospitalized me and my body struggled during pregnancy. And then you soared with me as my sweet rainbow baby came in to this world joining his big-hearted brother.
And today I get to celebrate with you as this blog – this piece of my heart – is acknowledged.
This blog has brought so much opportunity in to my life. I’ve been honored (and sometimes astonished) that anyone would want to read my thoughts, feelings or even want to know what outfit I was wearing!
Through this blog I’ve also been able to share with you a small look in to (one of my jobs) as an editorial stylist. What I love about styling is that I get to be an image-maker. It’s so much more than pure aesthetics but allows me to merge fairytale and fantasy.
I want to also take a moment to mention the other nominees. I am in such good company and am proud to call many of them my friends. I am truly so happy for all of us.
Finally, you will never know how grateful I am for this honor. No matter what happens I kinda think I’ve already won. I am truly blessed beyond measure and I never forget it for a single moment.
