Refinery29 is my go-to online lifestyle mag. They effortlessly mix music, culture, art, pop culture and style in a way that is really appealing and I always come away with useful information. So, when I got the invite to attend their Refinery29 Style Festival at The Domain here in Austin, I immediately said “YES!” (and I may have happy-squealed a little, don’t judge me).

Refinery29 is making several stops around the U.S. in trend-setting cities like Austin, in partnership with Simon Malls, to create these lifestyle events that bring together fashion, music, beauty and shopping all in one place. This year’s event focused on Festival Style (an obvious fit here in the home of Austin City Limits, South by Southwest, and countless others), and I wanted to share my favorite new shopping destinations that really inspired me at the event.
StyleMafia is a Miami, FL-based clothing line and online boutique with gorgeous fashion-forward pieces at great prices. I love the line’s modern aesthetic and cool-girl vibe. I am especially digging their two-piece sets and giant ruffle tops.
Beehive is a local boutique here in Austin (take heart – you can shop online!) that effortlessly blurs the line between boho and sophisticated vintage looks. I am obsessing over their fun mix of prints and pops of color.
Sun Child is another Texas-based boutique, this time hailing from Houston, that also has a great online shop for we out-of-towners. They specialize in independent designers and and quality, handcrafted pieces. I was LOVING the sunnies by Raen and espadrille sandals from Pons.
Ok, so Wynn Ruby wasn’t technically part of the Style Festival, but I met the owner of this adorable online children’s boutique at the event and I can’t get enough. She stocks modern clothing and gifts for infants and kids, as well as some essentials for mom. As a first-time mommy-to-be, I’m drooling over these teething necklaces from Coral + Cloud that actually look like chic jewelry. Yes, please!
