“We’re gonna need a bigger boat.” That’s right! It’s time for Shark Week! And Houlihan’s is celebrating with the COOLEST, limited cocktail called the Shark & Awe AND the opportunity to win a trip for a screening of Jaws in honor of Shark Week.
The winner and a friend will attend a special screening of JAWS on a giant outdoor movie screen facing the water at the Texas Ski Ranch outside Austin, Texas. I had the opportunity to visit Houlihan’s for lunch to try this yummy cocktail made with Vodka, Gin, Rum, Blue Curacao and fresh sour mix. It was incredibly refreshing and came garnished with a toy shark (which Luke immediately claimed).
For lunch I ordered chicken lettuce wraps with sesame-glazed chicken, carrots, scallions and crispy wontons and a peanut ginger sauce.
My mom and cousin both ordered the MISO GRILLED SALMON featuring miso-glazed, sustainably-raised atlantic salmon over stir-fried quinoa with steamed edamame and pickled cucumber.
My cousin’s husband had a scrumptious order of CHIPOTLE CHICKEN NACHOS with chili roasted chicken, pepper jack, cheddar and chipotle cheese sauce, jalapenos, tomato, cilantro, guacamole, sour cream and house salsa.
And, of course, Luke ordered his favorite lunch off the kids menu…chicken tenders and fries.
