This baby gender reveal has been such an emotional celebration for me. I can’t believe we are actually doing this again! For so long I thought it would never be possible and I’d never feel a child growing inside me again. Then we were allowed one more miracle. I celebrated privately with Daddy Russ and we reveled in the excitement of growing our family.
Then the clouds rolled in. At one point in my pregnancy the HG had so consumed me physically and mentally that when people asked if I wanted a boy or girl I couldn’t even think beyond my sickness. And then through great prayer God laid his hands on me, healing me and allowing that joy to sink back in.
Today celebration has taken on a new definition as we celebrate the sweet BABY BOY that will be arriving in May! It’s funny… everyone kept saying I was having a girl but I KNEW it was a boy (just like I knew Luke was a boy). I’m meant to be the mommy of rambunctious little boys who adore their mother! And I wanted desperately for Luke to have a little brother to share those cars, hunting adventures and more with!
In the gender ultrasound I was so nervous my hands were shaking. When the tech wrote BOY on the screen the tears started streaming across my cheeks as I began this loud laughing/sobbing. The joy just bubbled up and overflowed. I reached out and grabbed Daddy Russ’ hand and contentment found me.
Being pregnant is like having HOPE literally growing inside you. You hope for a safe pregnancy, healthy baby and then you hope for the person they will become.
I’m so GRATEFUL to be experiencing this hope again. Thank you all for sharing in it!
Sweet Baby Boy: Your Daddy and I love you more than you will ever know. You have been hoped for, prayed for and will now be loved over forever. Thank you for bringing a joy to my life that I thought I would never experience again.
