There are so many neat restaurants opening up in San Antonio! One of the latest to join the SA foodie scene is Sobro Pizza Co. located in Alamo Heights off Broadway. I recently was invited to join some other fellow San Antonio bloggers to experience the newly opened, stylish, pizza joint! And I have to say…it was DELICIOUS!
Sobro is located on the corner of Broadway and Grayson in the bottom of the Mosaic Building. When I walked in I was struck by the beautiful lighting pouring through the wall of windows and the chic, modern decor. We all fell in love with the white round light fixtures that were actually made by the chef/owner!
The restaurant is great for families with children or even a special date night. It offers seating in the main dining room, around the stone pizza oven, in the wine bar or on their outdoor terrace.
In addition to offering a wine bar, the restaurant also has 8 unique craft beers on tap that rotate out regularly.
Sobro utilizes a stone pizza oven and makes neapolitan pizza. Their dough is made from scratch daily using Italian flour.
Sobro has a great selection on their wine list and has something for everyone at a variety of price points.
We started with their Casa Insalata di Sobro which featured mixed greens, sun dried tomatoes, shropshire cheese, green goddess dressing and crisp pancetta.
Following was their Margherita Pizza which is my favorite pizza and then we enjoyed some Beef Braised Mushrooms.
Next was an AMAZING Pepperoni pizza that I couldn’t get enough of!
As you can tell from the pictures the food is amazing! I was also so impressed with owner and chef, Paul Hughes and his partner Russell Ricks. They spent so much time with us and the love of their food really showed through. I can’t wait to go back again!
