Luke and I recently had the pleasure of attending a VIP preview of the new Roa’s Aviary at SeaWorld’s Aquatica before it opened to the public. It was such a fun event and I was amazed at the new attraction which is a 13,500 square feet aviary containing about 300 birds representing more than 50 species. It is so neat because you can float, wade or walk in to the aviary and then enjoy feeding and watching a variety of tropical birds. AND…It is NOW OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!
Roa’s Aviary is located on the Loggerhead Beach area of Aquatica which is a new “waterfront beach” for our guests to enjoy. Luke loved playing in the sand and the pool which features a grotto-style waterfall entry into the aviary.
This is “Aloha” the friendliest goose who was eager to be fed! Thank you for this photo Sara from Sensibly Sara!
Luke called these the “shovel birds!”
We received a VIP bag and in it were these mini binoculars that Luke loved!
This little guy decided to take flight right when we were taking our picture with him! A little startling but made for a great pic!
The event features all types of yummy catering included a dessert table that immediately mesmerized Luke!
Cheers to a really cool attraction and animal encounter!
You can float into the aviary via Loggerhead Lane river. Tim Duncan and his family actually floated right by us!
Another feather friend that Luke met! Such a beauty!
These are just a few of the stunning birds in the aviary! I highly recommend stopping by Roa’s Aviary on your next visit to SeaWorld and Aquatica!

I just love Roa’s Aviary! The birds are so pretty and I can’t wait to see what other species are brought in!
