One of my favorite areas in town is The Quarry. Filled with stylish shops and yummy eateries…it’s definitely a popular area of San Antonio. So when I learned about a Mexican food restaurant in The Quarry called Urban Taco I immediately began craving a margarita and chips and salsa!
It was a beautiful sunny day with a light breeze when I walked up to Urban Taco. I quickly elected to sit on their patio overlooking the hustle and bustle that the Quarry offers. My lovely friendly, Aquila, from Haute in Texas and fellow PR gal joined me to tell me all about the restaurant while I snapped away pictures. Unfortunately, I had a little bit of a tech glitch and those pictures went POOF right before writing this post! Lucky for me, Urban Taco was generous enough to let me borrow some of their delicious photos!
Urban Taco has multiple locations across Texas including San Antonio and Dallas. Their SA location opened in 2010 by business owner, Adriana Llano. I also had the pleasure of meeting Adriana who greeted me with a beautiful smile and an obvious passion for her restaurants. Adriana moved from Mexico City to the U.S. to provide her daughter who has a rare form of dwarfism better opportunities and healthcare.
This is their ceviche trio which was scrumptious! I’m a huge sucker for ceviche and this hit the spot!
As you can see everything had beautiful presentation making the food as pretty to look at as good to eat!
The restaurant is chic and sophisticated and the staff was on pointe!
Many of the recipes are family recipes and everything is made from scratch.
The restaurant offers a blend of Alcapulco and Mexico City.
Don’t forget the cocktails and dessert before you leave! Stay tuned for my favorite Urban Taco cocktail recipe…Ginger Jalapeno Margarita!
