I’ve been trying to get over my funk all this past week. The week was crazy busy…filled with doctor appointments and tests, work meetings, media pitching, and a weekend trip to Houston that didn’t get started out well.
Luke had a massive coughing attack and puked everywhere. There are many things in life that I can handle but vomit is NOT one of them. If I smell it even slightly I’ll start gagging all over the place! Luckily my mom was with me and the poor thing cleaned it up while I gagged on the side of the road as Luke yelled at me, “Mom! Are you ok?!”
I elect to show you the pretty pictures on my blog. The ones where we are smiling, I’m wearing make-up and cute clothes, Luke is being seemingly well-behaved. But trust me….this is not my every day life. But I think if I started getting too real and posting pictures of my vomit covered kid you’d probably all run and never come back!

What a bummer! Bet that took your mom back to after your sister was born; she went through the same thing then. Baby threw up; Tori took off…throwing up too! Hope all is well now and you have a good week!
Yes, gmaj, it did remind me of that exactly. Nothing like your grandson asking if his Momma is ok, while his mamaw is cleaning up the mess on the side of a busy interstate highway. You have to laugh about it later but in the moment it was pretty yucky and hilarious at the same time!!
I’m kind of a freak when it comes to vomit too. But it’s part of motherhood, right? Lucky us! 😉 Hope he’s feeling better and this week is kind to you.
