Many mornings Luke wakes up early and climbs in bed with me to watch cartoons. I frequently take advantage of this time to snuggle and doze a little bit. This was one of those mornings where I was super tired and was still trying to catch some zzzz’s.
I was lying in the bed and felt him lean up against me and put his face right up by my face. Then his little hands tried to open my eyes and he sang perfectly in tune…… “Do you want to build a snowman?”
There has never been a time in San Antonio where I have ever wished for snow more than I did on that morning!

I love this! Such a sweet moment (although I’m sure at the time all you wanted to do was keep your eyes shut!). My two year old hates it if I close my eyes and – she woke up too early the other morning and I was hoping to rest a little next to her on the couch while she watched a show but the second I closed my eyes she said “Mommy, open your eyes!”. No rest for the weary. 😉
