Happy New Year! Since having Luke it seems like my years go by at warp speed. Sometimes I just want to grab on and dig my heels in desperately trying to slow it all down.
I tried thinking what word defined 2013 and I think my word is GROWTH. Partly because it was a year of monumental development for Luke. He’s such a little boy now – speaking in sentences, showcasing his budding personality, and just really coming in to his own. Daddy Russ and I are so proud of him. I keep saying I wish I could clone him!
It was also a year of profound growth for me as a mother, wife and just as a person. The spring of 2013 was a tough time filled with doctors appointments, tests, surgery and heart monitors. But with all the love and prayers from my friends and family we made it through and my heart kept on improving! The summer was a time of growth in terms of me professionally. I signed on the largest client to my company and brought on a team of wonderful gals! The fall was a time of trips with Russ and pumpkin fun with Luke and then Christmas rushed up before I could blink!
Through the good times and the hard times God was constantly molding me. Teaching me lessons each and every day. Allowing me to make mistakes and succeed in triumphs. What a journey life is! I’m so grateful to have Daddy Russ and Luke to GROW with me!
I can only imagine what 2014 has in store! I wonder what my word will be this year!?
