I have to say I’ve been a little off lately. This week I’ve tried to take a step back a bit and try to find some breathing room. I’ve been a single mommy all week since Daddy Russ has been in South Dakota with his friends on a hunting vacation. The house just doesn’t feel the same without him but I have been soaking up my mommy and Luke time. It’s kind of nice to have him reserve all his hugs and kisses for me. He’s missing his Dad a lot though and is constantly asking, “Where’s my Daddy?”

October begins the season of traditions in our household. From here on there are tons of things we do from now through Christmas. The kick-off is always a visit to a local pumpkin patch for pictures! This is our 3rd visit (click here to see 2011 pictures and here for 2012 pictures). Each visit has been filled with it’s own special memories. The first trip was so exciting taking his first pictures – he was 5-months-old and was just a little chunk! And then last year he had grown so much and was running all over the place. And to this year where he’s chasing, climbing and talking to us non-stop. These pumpkin patch traditions are the best!

That is absolutely adorable! Isn’t it so nice you have a blog to document all of these moments and look back on past years – and thanks for letting us follow along!
