As you know, Luke’s 2nd art birthday party was this past weekend and we had an ABSOLUTE BLAST! There was one point in the birthday party that is imprinted on my mind. Everyone had gathered around to sing Luke, “Happy Birthday.” Daddy Russ and I were at the front holding Luke and I looked around at everyone singing to celebrate our little man and I was overcome with joy. It really struck me that we are surrounded by friends and family that God has placed in our lives. We are so grateful for each and every one of them and it meant the world to us that they were there to share this special day.
Now on to the party details!! The party was themed, “Mini Masterpieces” and was an art party filled with activities to allow children to CREATE, IMAGINE, INSPIRE and DREAM!
I found this awesome easel for only $14.99 on Ikea! The multi-colored garland I sewed using paper and my sewing machine. For instructions on how to sew garland click here.
Luke’s cake was quite a challenge! It’s a rainbow cake and I had all kinds of issues! Luckily my sister came to the rescue and really helped me pull it off!
These adorable paint brush rice krispie treats were made by my mom! They were a hit with the kids!
I was so in love with these cookies! They were provided to us by the coolest bakery in San Antonio called, Lily’s Cookies. They were absolutely adorable AND delicious! Needless to say, they were gobbled up quickly! Stay tuned for a full blog post on Lily’s Cookies! A HUGE thank you to them!
I designed a little graphic for “Luke’s Art Studio” and ironed them on these kid size aprons that I found at Hobby Lobby.
Got to have some creative juices to keep you refreshed!
We had a variety of food but the main course was brisket tacos by Chef Daddy Russ!!
We had a couple art stations for the kids including a paint table, play-doh table and coloring table.
In addition to the aprons that the children received as favors everyone also received some heart shaped crayons that I made. For a full tutorial click here.

Thank you so very much!! I’m so obsessed with Lily’s Cookies!!
I can’t believe he’s already 2! Didn’t you just post pictures from his first birthday party? Why does time have to fly by so quickly?
I know!! This year just went by in a blink!
Mamaw loved the theme of this party! Too many children in this world do not have someone in their life to challenge them to dream, imagine, and create. And I’ve always liked bright primary colors! By the way, the rainbow cake was delicous!!
I can’t tell you and PawPaw thank you enough. I could have never done it with you!
What a colorful and creative party! Just pinned it. 😉 Happy birthday to your sweet Luke. He is absolutely adorable.
Thank you so much for the compliments and pin!! I love doing kids parties!

Do you have a shop for the graphic that was used on the apron?
Hi Ashley! I don’t have a shop. I can try and find it if you’d like?
I would like to do something like those aprons!!!
NIKKI ANDERSON’S
ART & CRAFTS STUDIO
With those paint splatters!
QUESTION? If I paid you to make the iron on. How much would it cost?? ?
I was wondering if you sell your framed signs as a printable. Like the ones that say, “play dough table, food for thought”… ..
I’m so sorry but I don’t have them anymore or I’d give them to you. They were lost after a computer crash unfortunately. I’m sorry!
