Loyal sTORIbook readers – today my family needs your prayers. My great grandmother fell yesterday. She’s 95-years-old and the doctors went ahead and said it would be good to bring the family in just in case. Her kidneys are failing and her heart is beating erratically. She is so loved by her children, grand children, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She is an amazing woman that I just couldn’t possibly hope to do justice with words.

I was running between events yesterday when I got the call. I went to the hospital and was so glad to see that her mind was still there (she’s always been as sharp as a tack). She knew who I was and asked who was taking care of Luke. And I just told her how much I loved her and how much her great great grandson loved her.

She’s tired. At 95-years-old who wouldn’t be tired? The family is waiting now to see what the doctors say this morning. My great aunt keeps telling her, “You tell that brain of yours to turn those kidneys back on!” (My great aunt is also an amazing woman by the way).

She’s one tough cookie so it wouldn’t surprise me if she somehow pulls through. But in the meantime, we are praying. Praying for God’s Will and praying that he makes her comfortable and without pain.

Grandma with Luke, a couple weeks after being born.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

This is my sTORI being written as you read. – Love, Mommy Tori

This is such a fragile time and so much is stake…please know to stay close to her and keep talking with her trust us when we say the care from nurses and doctors will be enhanced if they see how involved you are 🙂 She is in our prayers! xo ~ Tresors
