As many of you know, I recently went on a trip to Chicago. When we arrived in Chicago we were all starving and had a major craving for sushi. So we asked the doorman at our hotel and he sent us over to Friends Sushi.
It was a really small sushi restaurant with an urban modern decor.
Gotta start sushi with a nice warm cup of miso soup!
Time to eat! Look at all these fantastic colors!
I want a set of these adorable dishes.
Check out the hanging fixtures on the roof.
Do you have a favorite sushi joint in your city?
This is my sTORI being written as you read. – Love, Mommy Tori
I love sushi! Check out my post today to see sushi in Atlanta: http://katelyngreer.com/2012/08/14/benihanas-birthday-sushi-delight/
I just went and commented! I’m so glad you told me about the post! Our pictures are almost opposite in a way. Mine have white/light backgrounds and yours are black/dark! Of course, yours are much better than my iPhone pics!
I love me my sushi too, and there are a few local spots that I enjoy. I tend to stick to the basics, and right now I’m digging the Philadelphia roll.
When I went to New York, I went to this restaurant which I think is called Alfredo’s, that serves Italian sushi. By far still the best sushi I’ve ever had!
Italian sushi?! Sounds good! What’s in it?
Im drooling over these pictures. I haven’t any sushi in such a long time.
I rarely get to have sushi either. Definitely need to go more!
We have some good sushi places but I really miss my favs in Vancouver where I grew up. Right by the ocean so you know its very fresh and lots of Japanese tourists so the restaurants have to get it right 😉
I’ve always wanted to go to Vancouver! One day when I go I will remember to eat sushi there!
Looks yummy! Cyn what were the restaurants in Vancouver? I recently moved to the area and love sushi 🙂
Oh perfect! Maybe Cyn can recommend lots of great places for you! Enjoy Vancouver!
Have you tried “The Eatery” in Kitsilano? University students love it and its yummy. For high end sushi try Tojo’s http://www.tojos.com/tojomenu.pdf I also like going to “One More Sushi” out at UBC.
Nice photos! Sushi is my favorite Japanese food! There is not any good sushi restaurant in my hometown. I always make sushi at home. Thanks for sharing. Would probably visit Chicago some day for delicious food!
