Many people outside of Texas don’t know that it is home to a growing number of awesome wineries! This past weekend during my friend’s bachelorette weekend we visited three different vineyards/wine tasting rooms to enjoy the Texas hill country wine.
One of the places we visited was Becker Vineyards. Becker is located right outside Fredericksburg, Texas and is home to a vineyard, lavender fields, reception hall and Bed & Breakfast.
Becker was established in 1992 and has 14 different available varietals, including Syrah, Petite Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, Malbec, Petite Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot.
This is Kate (left), she and I used to work together at a PR firm in Dallas. She is such a sweetheart and is joined by a new friend of mine, Alexa.

After tasting we pulled up some grass and enjoyed the shade and breeze under a large oak tree.

It was Memorial Weekend and everyone was proudly flying their American flags.
