Time for another farmer’s market trip! For Mommy Day and Luke’s “official” birthday we enjoyed a day at The Quarry Farmer’s Market and then lunch at P.F. Chang’s. It was really special sharing the day with Luke! It was another great San Antonio Farmer’s Market located in the center of the Quarry parking lot. There was a variety of vegetable booths but also some other specialty booths such as organic masa tamales, fresh crepes and even some asian food booths.

There is nothing better than fresh produce. I loaded up on vegetables for some serious baby food making that I’m doing this week.

I’ve previously done a post on the Alamo Quarry Market. It’s a great shopping center with all kinds of stores, restaurants and a movie theater. To read the previous post click here.

Luke and I both love cucumbers. I’ll just chop them up and put them on his high chair tray and he’ll go to town. I like mine with a little lemon squeezed on them.

Time to make fried okra! Fried okra always reminds me of my Nannie’s cooking!

Lilly’s Chicken Ranch had a booth selling cage-free, fresh eggs.

Cowgirl Granola is soooo good! It’s all natural, small batch granola made by Heather Hunter. I actually met Heather that day and found out that she is also the person who organizes the market. You’re doing a great job, Heather!

Fresh crepes being made to order! Deliciousness!

I just can’t get enough of farmer’s markets! I will say we arrived around noon and the market closes around one so things were starting to run out so I suggest going earlier in the day.

What do you recommend purchasing at farmer’s markets?

This is my sTORI being written as you read. – Love, Mommy Tori

I absolutely love crepes! I’m going to have to go to the Farmer’s market to shop and then catch lunch. Thanks for bringing us another local Farmer’s Market.
