THE trend of this spring by far is the “Sheer Blouse” – but it can be tricky to pull-off without getting too racy. Completely covered yet revealing, the sheer blouse is romantic and sexy. You can find them in a variety of colors and materials to add texture and a bit of oh-la-la to your wardrobe.

To add a little funny to this post. Today I went to the grocery store wearing my sheer blouse. Well, I walked up to the front door and set Luke in the shopping cart. Immediately, I felt like my shirt felt weird. Sure enough, when I was carrying him he’d pulled my bandeau down! Quickly I used my purse and shopping cart to duck behind and slid over behind a row of plants and corrected my outfit! Eeeek!

Wear a sheer blouse with a high-waisted mini. You can switch out your shoes from flats to heels for a day to night look.

I loved this yellow blouse because it made me feel so sunny and happy! (Though I’m not smiling in this picture).

Pair a sheer blouse with a returning spring trend, brightly colored pants.

I love how the shirt shows a bit of skin while still hiding my “mommy tummy.”

Wear a bandeau or cami underneath the blouse.

I seem to be frequently rocking a ponytail recently. Either it’s the heat or Luke constantly pulling on my hair.

I fell in love with this coral and gold necklace at Francesca’s Collections.

I love the way bangles sound when you move around.

This is great, I have worked with the sheer blouse many times, when styling models I love to use it with no bras! Of course this is more of a fashion shot, but I try to find the ones that have some lace or intriquite sheer design, they are fun to layer as well. I remeber finding this amazing sheer blouse that had sort of a Victorian look! Very high neck, big puffy sleeves with ruffles at the end and it looked amazing on that model. She had nothing under but a bunch of strands of pearls over the neck!

I bet the sheer blouse on models looks amazing in your photoshoots. What a find on the Victorian sheer blouse – I can imagine it was striking!
