One of my favorite places to shop is at a Farmers Market! Your local farmers market is a treasure trove of goodies from homegrown food and handmade items – not to mention the great feeling you get when supporting local vendors.
This weekend Mamaw, Luke and I visited the farmers market at The Pearl Brewery. I love all the development that is going on down at the Pearl – they are really turning it into the up-and-coming, place-to-be in town. The market featured all kinds of vendors selling fresh veggies, grass-fed meats, nuts, spices, fresh goat cheeses and much more.
I absolutely love the environment and personality of the market. It was teeming with people pushing strollers, dogs on leashes and just all-together joviality. We purchased some vegetables from a variety of farms, some delicious dried sausage from L&M Ranch and sipped on some homemade hot chocolate as we walked.
I’m so excited to go again when the weather gets warmer! To learn more about the Pearl Farmers Market visit www.pearlfarmersmarket.com.
Got some cheese at the farmers market before, and it was amazing with crackers. Can’t wait to go back.
