I can’t believe it’s been 6 months! It seems like just yesterday we were on our way to the hospital. I’m amazed at the tremendous sense of purpose and accomplishment this little guy has given me.
I swear Luke must be the happiest baby ever. He seldom doesn’t have a smile on his face or a giggle coming out of his mouth. He’s just taken over our house and is the pride and joy of our family! To see his sweet laugh click here.
I’m astonished at how big he is! Daddy Russ is constantly saying he’s going to be bigger than me any day. He’s in the 98th percentile on height and a little over the 75th percentile on weight! I’m crossing my fingers for an Aggie linebacker!
6-Month-Old Stats
Weight: 19 lbs. 6 oz.
Height: 28 in.
Highlights from the Past Month:
- He sits up unassisted now (the first time was so funny. I sat him up, positioned his legs and he just sat there. Then gradually he started shrinking!) To see video click here.
- He’s a rolly polly – he’ll roll all the way across our living room and then back the other direction.
- He’s trying to crawl but pretty much just goes in a circle. To see video of Luke trying to crawl click here.
- He’s been eating momma’s cooking! So far he’s eaten: cereal, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, carrots, broccoli, peas, av0cadoes and bananas. He likes everything except avocadoes. He zipped his mouth shut and refused to open it again! To see Luke eating sweet potatoes for the first time click here.
- He loves his saucer bouncy and goes nuts in it (atleast until he cocks out)!
- When he was 4-months-old he learned to copy momma and blow raspberries! It was the funniest thing ever and he’d do it and look to see if I was watching.
- He started drinking out of a sippy cup last week.
-
He had his first Halloween dressed as Davy Crockett. See Halloween post by clicking here.
-
He had his first visit to the pumpkin patch. To see full blog post click here.
