Halloween is always a fun family event at our house. The kids and I always look forward to it every year and it’s a day filled with a bunch of tradition. I usually prepare a big dinner and our families (including grandparents and Russ’ nephew) come over for a family meal and then we all head out together to trick-or-treat among our friends and neighbors.
And, of course, for such a big evening we have to make sure we’ve got the perfect costumes! Each year the boys and I make a fun trip to the local Spirit Halloween store to try on costumes which always means lots of laughter and silliness. This year was no exception and we enjoyed a little playdate – trying on costumes and laughing! We had a hard time picking our favorites!
Spirit Halloween has the most extensive selection of halloween costumes, decorations, accessories and so much more! They have costumes for kids and adults of all ages. You can shop for favorite movie characters, princesses, historical figures, super heroes and tons of other favorites. They also offer the “scarier” options as well for those of the more appropriate older ages.
I love how most of the costumes come in sets so you can purchase everything you need all at once. I usually buy a couple extra costumes because my kids love to dress up throughout the year.
Luke was torn this year between some different super hero costumes but ended up settling on an army costume.
They have dressing rooms so you can easily try on your costumes to make sure they fit. I was super impressed with the quality of the costume! It had all kinds of great details including lots of pockets, vest, hat and more.
As you can see… Luke really got in to character!
They also have lots of other fun things like hats, wigs, trick-or-treat baskets and more. If you are going to a costume party you can get everything in one spot.
Foster even had fun shopping around! This PAW Patrol treat basket was a favorite!
I loved this easy little car costume because toddlers get uncomfortable easy and you have to fight them to put a costume on. This one you just slid right over his head and he wore it like suspenders. Beep! Beep! Beep!
Having a Halloween party or want to make the house look festive? They have tons of decorations including lights, fog machines, props and much more!
As you can see it was a totally fun outing for us and Spirit is your go-to store for all things Halloween! To find your closest Spirit Halloween store click here. Wishing everyone a safe and fun Halloween this year!
