It’s no secret – I LOVE going to the movies! Luke has definitely inherited my affinity because he’s always asking to go (and also has my obsession with popcorn too). A couple weeks ago if you were following along with me on Snapchat you got to get a sneak peek at the new Santikos Casa Blanca theater. It just opened in Alamo Ranch and is absolutely incredible! The theater is monstrous! It features a state-of-the-art movie theater with 16 screens including laser projection (better picture clarity, color and three times as bright) and recliner seating. It also has two of the biggest screens in Texas (90 feet wide)! Four of the auditoriums will offer full food and drink services right at your seat.
The theater also has the best sound system available with premium Klipsch speakers and Dolby Atmos Surround Sound in the AVX auditoriums.
In addition to the movie theaters, Casa Blanca also has a 16 lane bowling alley, arcade, full-service sports bar and restaurant.
Luke is still in the bumper bowling stage but we have so much fun! Unfortunately, he loves to slam the bowling balls down which scares the bejeezus out of me every time! I can’t wait to plan a fun day with him and do movies AND bowling! He’ll think it’s his birthday! (Speaking of…they do offer birthday party packages)!

What I was most impressed with is during 2016, Santikos will donate $12 million to the San Antonio community and $400,000 a week from the community over the next 10 years! The community donations will focus on people in need including seniors, special needs, victims of child abuse, youth and education, libraries, parks and museums, arts and culture as well as medicine, healthcare and medical research.
