Have you ever had a party and realize you’ve poured the last glass of wine or someone requests a margarita but you’re all out of tequila? Never fear the party can continue! Just open up your Minibar app and have your wine, beer and spirits delivered right to your door (and just in time for your New Year’s Eve party)!
It’s no secret – everyone knows that I enjoy a good cocktail! If you follow along with my #storibooksips hashtag you can see what beverage I’m partaking in on my life adventures. I love trying out new cocktail recipes but it never fails that when I go to make one I open the cabinet to find that I don’t have what I need. So I was so excited to hear that Minibar was now available in San Antonio (as well as 18 other cities across the nation).
Minibar is an app that allows you to order your booze of choice directly to your door in under one hour. I received the opportunity to try out the service first-hand and I can tell you there have been so many times in the past that I wish I had this!
All you have to do is visit their website or download the app which is free on iOS or Android and create your account which takes just a couple minutes. Once you’ve created your account you can search through the different products which include wine, beer, liquor and mixers. Mixers includes juice, soda, fruit, garnishes, ice, water and more. Once you’ve selected your order you just check out and within one hour your doorbell will ring to keep the party going! There is only a $5 delivery charge and a $25 minimum order.
With New Year’s right around the corner, of course, I decided to order some of my favorite champagne from Perrier Jouet! In each of the markets Minibar partners with local liquor stores to supply and deliver the product. My champagne was delivered from Cibolo Liquors. I felt very special when I opened my door and discovered it was actually the owner of Cibolo Liquors, Gary Stinnett, who was incredibly kind and such a good sport as my photographer took pictures throughout the process and answered all my questions.
The delivery person will then check your ID to make sure you are over 21 years of age and ta-da time to raise a glass!

And I’ve got a little bonus for you … a yummy Raspberry Champagne cocktail recipe that I made with my champagne from my Minibar order!
Ingredients:
- Perrier Jouet champagne
- Raspberry sorbet
- Fresh raspberries
- Colored sugar (optional)
Directions:
- Optional: Garnish the rim of your glass with colored sugar of your choice
- Pour 3/4 of a champagne glass full with chilled champagne
- Add a small scoop of raspberry sorbet into the champagne
- Add 3-4 raspberries into your glass of champagne
- Enjoy!!!

This is such a brilliant idea! I checked and they don’t have this in my area of Houston, but you can ask to be put on a wait list, so I did that. I can’t wait to have access to this service!
