There are some brands that I follow purely because I love their clothes. But then there are the special few that capture, not just my love of fashion, but also appeal to something bigger and more substantial. Shabby Apple is one of those brands. Recently, they posted an image on their Instagram that really resonated with me. It said, “Be charming if you can: witty if you must, but always have GRACE.”

I just love this and finding a brand that encourages a life of grace is a brand that I am proud to support. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Shabby Apple a few times now and each time it’s such a wonderful experience and I truly love styling their clothes. They really GET women. Today I wanted to show you a beautiful dress of theirs called the “Sage Zipper Dress” which I keep getting compliments on – but also I want to share a bit more of the Shabby Apple story. I think you will love them as much as I do!

always have grace

The company was founded on the belief to empower and beautify women and I believe they tell that story every day in their clothing, messaging, marketing and more.

The company has three pillars that I believe they hold true to:

1. Design and sell vintage-inspired clothing. Our clothing is reminiscent of the classy clothing of the past — both in style and coverage. We say: women are beautiful and powerful when they are comfortable and polished.

2. Empower women in the workplace. We are a company that is over 90% women-owned/operated. We strive to provide flex-schedules and generous maternity leaves. We strive to help women lead in the world.

3. Help women worldwide. We connect with other women around the world by partnering with organizations that give women micro-credit loans and clean, safe living environments. We believe that with health and the right tools, women can empower themselves.

They have so many designs that I love right now that are perfect for the mom trying to be comfortable but still stylish to the professional fashionista heading to a Christmas party.

I adore this dress and my favorite detail of it is this amazing zipper that goes all the way down the front. It’s slightly offset to the side and is really unique. I actually wore it originally styled with some flat riding boots but I wanted to dress it up a bit so I added heels and a gorgeous wrap that my mom gave me a couple years ago (I included a couple similar ones below). The Jessica Simpson bag that I styled is a fave of mine but is also a couple years old. I found a few updated snakeskin styles for you though.

I hope you love this company as much as I do and remember to always have grace!
