As summer winds down to a close I’ve been soaking up the last of its rays. There is something special about the beauty of summer days. This summer was full of pool time teaching Luke to swim, silly string fights in the backyard and lazy moments lying on a quilt under the shade of a tree, reading a book with a glass of cool White Wine Sangria in hand.

In honor of Summer 2014 I’d like to share with you my White Wine Sangria recipe made with Diageo’s Butterfly Kiss Pinot Grigio!

a

Butterfly Kiss Pinot Grigio is an excellent wine and is fabulous for a white wine sangria. It’s average retail price is $12. It’s light, crisp with just a hint of sweetness. I found that its citrus flavors make for a perfect sangria.

b

A quick note – the longer you let the fruit sit in the wine the sweeter it gets.

d

I added the flavored sugar for a little extra touch as well as a pretty garnish of rosemary. Don’t forget a fun straw!

Sangria is seriously one of the easiest most delicious cocktails to make. Now grab your glass and head outdoors with your girlfriends to enjoy the final days of Summer 2014!
