Luke LOVES to paint. Of course, Luke painting means everything in the near vicinity of him is liable to get paint on it. So when I needed to make a quick DIY July 4th kid’s shirt for a TV segment I called up one of my neighbors who has the sweetest little girl to help me out! It’s the easiest craft to do and lots of fun for kids! Have a happy 4th of July!
Paint your child’s hand with the blue paint making sure the entire palm and bottom of fingers are covered.
Then press their hand on the upper left chest area of the shirt. Be sure to check that all areas of the hand press down on the shirt to get a good hand print.
Now paint stripes on with the red paint on the right side of the blue hand print and a few directly underneath.
Now your child has a cute outfit for the 4th and they had lots of fun making it!

This is fantastic! I love this idea although I’m not sure I would have much success with my 2-year old doing this very neatly. Maybe next summer!
Thank you!! Same thing here with the two year old. Maybe it would be a good craft to do OUTSIDE! Ha!
This is so cute, what a great idea!
