When I got an email from a long time friend of mine (seriously since elementary school) following my heart procedure I was so overwhelmed with gratitude. Not only had she been saying lots of prayers for me but she told me about this beautiful heart necklace that she had seen that made her think of me and she wanted to send it to me. When I received it I couldn’t hold back the tears that someone would be so kind to me.
Now when I wear it I think of HER and our younger years of running back and forth between each others houses every chance we got. We had such a wonderful childhood together and I’m so blessed to still be in touch with her even though we haven’t actually seen each other in years. We have both now become wives and mothers but I sometimes still think of us as little girls one with bright red hair and the other sandy blonde sitting on the corner waiting for the bus to come.
