Luke’s “Mini Masterpiece Art Party” in celebration of his 2nd birthday is tomorrow. I’m doing lots of praying that it doesn’t rain! Otherwise I’m not really sure what I’m going to do with all these people! As his second birthday gets closer and closer (it’s actually on the 13th) I can’t help but realize that Luke is my greatest masterpiece.
A couple days ago while I was folding clothes Daddy Russ took Luke out on our deck in the back yard. We’ve been staining the deck so all of the furniture is off it leaving a big wide play space. I could hear Luke’s little feet stomping around and couldn’t resist the urge to go out with them. Daddy Russ was laying on his back in the middle of the deck and Luke was running around him. He’d stop, sit down, play with his car, then jump up, run around, plop on his father and then jibber-jabber away. I just sat there quietly watching them with a smile spreading across my face and marveled. How did Daddy Russ and I create this perfect little being? He’s beautiful. He’s full of all the best parts of our hearts.
Recently, Luke and I were blessed to be photographed by Courtney Kerry, an AMAZING photographer in San Antonio. I had a vision for the photo shoot so that it would follow the theme of Luke’s 2nd birthday party. Well, Courtney absolutely nailed it! She captured such special moments between Luke and I. When I first saw them I started crying!! I’m so excited to show you these pictures and to offer YOU a chance to win a photo session with Courtney!
