If you’ve ever been to my house pre-Luke you’d know that I usually like things nice and clean and in their proper place. Post-Luke I’ve taken a new point-of-view regarding the messiness of my home. In fact, not only does it look like Luke’s car bin blew up but there is also a FORT in my living room at this very moment!

Yes! This humongous “fort” is now residing in my living room! Luke and I had a paint party with some of the neighborhood kids yesterday. We had such a fantastic time!

I wasn’t really sure if Luke could “paint” but after I showed him what to do he picked up his own paint brush, dipped it in paint and then went to town!

His favorite thing to do was mix all the colors together!

Of course, quite a bit of paint ended up on him (AND mommy)!

Daddy Russ cut Luke a door and windows that fit him perfectly!

Thank you Mamaw and PawPaw for the giant box!! Every kid needs a fort!

One of my favorite bloggers from Sleeping Should be Easy (currently pregnant with twins) recently did a blog post called, “Why I Don’t Bother With Messy House Guilt.” I think this is a blog post that ALL mothers should read! To read this awesome blog post click here.

This is my sTORI being written as you read. – Love, Mommy Tori

how cute and I so can relate in regards to trying to keep a clean and tidy house, but can’t thanks to the kiddos and sometimes even my husband lol. LUKe looks like he was enjoying himself plenty and what a fun way to involve painting.

Wow that’s an AWESOME fort! It’s so big! Isn’t it so cute how they just figure out how to paint? And yes, the mess! Sometimes I feel like the cleanup takes more time than the actual painting, lol. It’s also crazy what kids can do to your home, although I must say, from your photos, that you still have quite a beautiful home 🙂

p.s. Thanks for the shout out!

Mamaw & pawpaw are glad to hear that putting up with that big box in our garage until we could get daddy Russ to pick it up in his pickup was worth it!!

Forts are the best… my girls build them with blankets in every nook and crany they can find in our home. Visiting from the blog hop.
