Happy Halloween everyone!! Luke’s been a bit under the weather the last couple of days as he picked up Daddy Russ’ cold. Both of them seem to be doing better today so I’m crossing my fingers we get to trick-or-treat tonight! Luke has two costumes this year. The first costume you saw him wearing in my SeaWorld Howl-o-Scream post and now its time to reveal his second costume – he’s LUKE SKYWALKER!!

Both of Luke’s costumes are homemade and incredibly easy. The Luke Skywalker costume is just an oversized white sweatshirt (cut the sleeves short and cut the front of the sweatshirt slightly off center). Add a pair of khaki pants and a girl’s pair of knock-off Uggs. Lastly, I cut an old belt down to fit Luke and then made a little mini pouch and glued it on to the belt.

His “light saber” is the cardboard tube from gift wrapping and then I wrapped it with blue and black painters tape. How easy it that?!

Here’s the little monkey man!! His Curious George costume is a pair of brown warm up bottoms, a red t-shirt and I just cut out the Curious George logo on yellow fabric and glued to his shirt. I couldn’t find a brown tail so I bought a grey tail and then spray painted it brown. Add a pair of monkey ears and a fake banana and you are set!

The Johnson family hopes you have a fun and safe Halloween!! Don’t eat too much candy!

This is my sTORI being written as you read. – Love, Mommy Tori

So cute! Instead of Curious George my little guy went as The man in the yellow hat last year but I didn’t get a chance to dye his clothes yellow which would have made it so much cuter than it already was.

Thank you!! All the time when we tell people his name is Luke they always go, “Luke, I am your father.” So it was totally an easy idea!
