Have I mentioned my sTORIbook readers are the best? I was absolutely overwhelmed with all of the kind comments everyone left for me yesterday regarding Luke’s boo boo (to view the blog post click here). Thank you so much for making this very sad mommy feel so much better!
I now have a little gift for you! A fun and easy DIY to customize your own mugs! This DIY was inspired by two blog that I regularly follow – Morena’s Corner and Le Zoe Musings! Time to get your craft on!
Here are all the supplies you need! Many of these you probably already have around the house. For a mustache template click here.
I just printed the mustache on card stock and then cut it out. Then using the paint pen, trace around the template. Try to trace as carefully as possible.
Once you finish outlining, pull the template and tape off and fill in the outline.

My pen required that the mug be baked in the oven for a while so that you can stick it in the dishwasher. Be sure to check your pen’s instructions.
There are all kinds of things you can decorate your mug with. I love the new mustache craze that’s going on and thought these looked too cute!

Made these a while ago, so much fun to do and to drink afterwards haha. You can also write some inspiring quotes or texts at the mugs; endless possibilities!

What is the name of the pen that you used and where can I find it? Also is it dishwasher safe?

Excellent question! I used a DecoArt glass paint marker (http://www.decoart.com/cgi-bin/Products.cgi?Glass_Paint_Marker). If you bake in the oven after making your design then it will become dishwasher safe.

Hi Katie!! I actually found these mugs at Target. They have tons of different solid white styles. If you make them I’d love to see a picture!
