As I continue to devote more and more time to my blog I find myself pondering over my blog’s “identity.” The more and more I think about it, I know that I want my blog to truly represent me. Not just fashion with pretty clothes and name brands – my readers can get that on about half a million other blogs. I want it to give a bit of insight in to who I am as a wife and mother, business owner, Christ-follower, as well as someone who enjoys fashion. I’m on a never-ending quest to try and be a better person, to make a difference and above all become a good example for my son. I have learned that one of the best ways to do this is to surround myself with similar people who are striving to be more and give more. This week I met one of those people and her name is Victoria Santoscoy.
Victoria is the proud owner of a boutique in San Antonio called Evolve (for those of you in SA it’s off HWY 281, north of 1604). What’s even better though is it’s not just your normal clothing boutique. Underlying all of their gorgeous clothes is a passion for fair-trade products, a concept to empower women “to see beyond their own limitations and clothing them in not only fashionable attire, but in strength and dignity.” Above all, there is a love of God (in fact their motto is, “Love God, Love People.”
When you walk in the store you’ll see a very trendy boutique but when you look closer there are bright displays of color featuring handmade items from across the world. Many of these fair-trade items benefit non-profit organizations such as Kirabo Seeds which assists orphanages in Uganda to Radiant Cosmetics which fights human trafficking.
Not only does Victoria try to utilize her store to benefit others around the world but she also strives to make an impact in the local community. She has tried to instill a sense of family and sisterhood with her employees as well as set a good example for her younger staff members. She also opens her store up to other local non-profits and small business companies to partner for events.
While many of the store’s items are handmade across the ocean, Victoria also features big name designers such as Jessica Simpson and BCBG as well as other smaller U.S. designers. Evolve is perfect for your every occasion because they carry everything from casual shirts, jeans and shirts all the way to cocktail gowns. The store usually orders two sizes in each style so if you see something you like, you’d better grab it!
Are you intrigued by this impressive store and its owner yet? I sure am! I think San Antonio is very blessed to have a store like this in our community!

Where is that cute store? By target? Sad that wasn’t there when I was there!
Yes, they are in the same shopping center as Target right by Alamo Drafthouse. They are amazing! Next time you are in town you need to stop in.
Great story! I will have to visit when I am in town!
It’s definitely a special store. There are not many boutiques that take it further than the fashion.
Always blessed to meet other women with a similar passion! Thank you for being so committed to sharing your journey with our community! We are honored to be a part of your sTori! 🙂 Love, Victoria and the whole Evolve Team
Thank you so much, Victoria! It’s my pleasure to be able to cover visions such as yours! What you are doing is remarkable and I’m proud to be a supporter!
This is totally right up my alley! I need to check this store out next time in the neighborhood!
I’m sure you would love it! The clothing is very on-trend and there are lots of other fun goodies to choose from!
How awesome is that!?
Awesome to say the least, Lisa! They are fab!
I’m definitely going to visit this store. I love finding fashionable items to purchase where proceeds go to a worthy mission… a win-win. Thanks for letting us in on evolve Boutique.
Very welcome! They really have a great story to tell!
