Since having Luke I find that I’m much more conscientious about my purchase decisions. Particularly when it pertains to my son. One of those purchase items that recently came under my scrutiny is sunscreen. There are so many sunscreens out there marketed towards moms so it can easily be confusing.
After much research I decided to try a sunscreen that had received many awards across a variety of media outlets. Additionally, it had a lot of ingredients that I wanted to see in sunscreen as well as did NOT have those nasty chemical ingredients that I didn’t want on my child’s skin. That sunscreen is California Baby!
California Baby is unfragranced, PABA free, contains organic and sustainably grown ingredients, UVA/UVB protection, water resistent, non-chemical and hypoallergenic.
The sunscreen has won many awards including WebMD’s Baby Care Products Expert Choice Award, Parent’s Magazine’s Mom Knows Best Award, Babble.com pick for Best Sunscreens, and more. I also really like it because it doesn’t require lots and lots of reapplications. In fact, I gave Luke one application and then we went an entire day at SeaWorld and he didn’t get a bit of sun! Enamel rings are great for water activities because it doesn’t damage them.
This is Luke (in hat) and his friend, James. It cracks me up to watch them together but I swear they look exactly like their daddies!

We love California Baby, as well. Wish it weren’t so darned expensive though! We also use the calming shampoo/wash and cream, and I just bought the natural bug repellent to try.
Hi Kelly – It is kind of pricey. I haven’t tried the shampoo and cream but would like to try that. And let me know if the bug repellent works.
