July 4th is right around the corner and there are tons of activities, crafts and events for you to do with your children. I’ve compiled a few that sounded interesting to me!

July 4th Stars & Stripes at HemisFair Park: On July 4 from 6pm to 10pm the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce will be hosting live music and fireworks for free. To learn more click here.

Randolph and Lackland Air Force Bases: Both locations will host fourth of July festivities. Randolph will be providing some Texas twang from Two Tons of Steel and also has crafts and games for the kids. At Lackland there will be live music, rock-climbing, food, drinks and more. Click here for information on Lackland’s activities. Click here for information on Randolph.

Fourth Of July at Market Square: Market Square’s festivities begin tomorrow through the 5th and will have live music, arts and crafts and dancing. To learn more click here.

Horseshoe Bay July 4th Extravaganza: Interested in getting out of town but don’t want to go far? Try Horseshoe Bay resort (one of my fave resorts in Texas). It’s a little under two hours from San Antonio and they are hosting a July 4th Extravaganza packed with activities from July 3-7. Firework show, parades, carnival and more! I mean – what else can you ask for?! To learn more about their July 4th Extravaganza click here.

Take the time to teach your children what this holiday is all about. Happy July 4th everyone!

Thanks for sharing all this information. I tend to look around myself. Not much to do in my neck of the woods.

Thanks for reminding me that I need to look for some local activities for tomorrow! We’ll be watching fireworks from our patio, but we still need stuff to do during the day. Hope you guys have a great holiday!

I hope you have a wonderful 4th as well! Was hoping to take Luke to a firework show but most shows have been canceled in San Antonio because we don’t have enough rain. Shucks!
