San Antonio Botanical Gardens

I know that I visited the San Antonio Botanical Gardens when I was little but I can only barely, barely remember the visit. I’m pretty sure my sister and I whined and cried about how bored we were and probably drove my mother nuts. Now that I am much older I really loved it! Luke and I had a lovely time strolling around all the different gardens and pathways and just exploring on our own.

The San Antonio Botanical Gardens really has a fantastic set-up with all types of garden themes, a small lake, children’s vegetable garden, variety of homes and much more. To learn more about the San Antonio Botanical Gardens click here.

I was in love with the rose garden. It reminded me of Alice in Wonderland. I was waiting to hear, “Off with her head!” or someone singing, “Painting the roses red. We’re painting the roses red.”

Luke loved the lily pads and if I didn’t keep a hold of him the entire time he would probably try to go for a swim.

This picture cracks me up! Luke’s standing on his tippy-toes.

Serene and beautiful, don’t you think?

All of the roses were in full bloom. There were so many colors!

Isn’t it just spectacular? I would love to host a real tea party here.

The plants, flowers and vegetation are organized in to different areas of Texas. They have a lake in the area that represents East Texas. It was so quiet and cool underneath all the shade by the water. Luke loved looking at the ducks.

Do you have a local botanical gardens in your city?

This is my sTORI being written as you read. – Love, Mommy Tori
