I’m writing this blog post the night before Luke turns one-year-old. I have to admit – I’m trying not to tear up right now. I know it’s silly but I just can’t stop thinking of all the changes that have taken place in the past year. It has truly been the most exciting and happiest year of our lives!

This year had so many milestones and “firsts.” Each and every day is something new and fresh! Wasn’t he our little newborn baby bear like a couple months ago? Wasn’t I just jumping around the living room a couple weeks ago because he learned to roll over? And didn’t he just learn to crawl yesterday? You never know how time truly flies until you have a child. I’ve learned so much about who I am as a person as well as am still learning about who I am as a mother.

I can tell you this – I thank God every day for blessing us with Luke. He is full of hugs, smiles, laughter, shouts, and just pure joy. I hope all of my readers have enjoyed sharing the past year of our sTORI as much as I have. I also hope that you will all join me in wishing TODDLER LUKE (no more BABY LUKE) – a very HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY!

Here is a look back in photos from the first year of Luke’s life. To view videos that captured all those special moments click here. To view pictures from his Vintage County Fair First Birthday Party click here.

This is my sTORI being written as you read. – Love, Mommy Tori

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I celebrated my daughter’s 2nd birthday in February and I also shed a few tears at how fast these wonderful times are flying by. Enjoy!

No – it gets harder! She is my second and my son is already 6… each stage is enjoyable for its own reasons, but the mark of an entire year passing is always difficult for me.
