Oh my goodness! Luke’s first birthday party is two weeks away! I’m so excited I can barely sit still (actually I never sit still right now because I’m constantly making something for the party).

The theme for the party is Vintage County Fair and I’ve got all kinds of festivities planned. In preparation for the party though I wanted to have some pictures of Luke displayed.

Luckily for me, I know an AMAZING photographer by the name of Rhobin Tudyk who owns R. Denise Photography. She came up with the fabulous idea of shooting down at the Fiesta Carnival which opens this evening. So we packed up my car with Luke and all kinds of props and went downtown in the wee morning hours.

It was a photo shoot I’ll never forget! The carnival people were so nice to let us on the grounds when it was closed. We had the whole place to ourselves (minus the variety of camera crews filming segments for the news). One carnival worker even walked over and gave us a stuffed animal for Luke! Best yet, the photos are just breathtaking. I know this sounds so cheesy but I actually teared up when I saw my sweet little boy.

Here is a little teaser for all you sTORIbook readers! Much more to come and stay tuned for the first-ever Luke’s County Fair! Luke’s vintage outfit was made by Wander Clothing (a very talented designer I found on Etsy). Full blog post on his outfit coming seperately.

This is my sTORI being written as you read. – Love, Mommy Tori

I find his smile to be contagious.

This photo was interesting to take. The wind kept blowing the letters over and then every time Luke would put some popcorn in his mouth I had to run over and take it out.

Those photos really are adorable, and what a cute way to tie it in to your theme! I’m sure he’ll enjoy his own little carnival.

Love Love LOVE these pictures! If I can convince the boyfriend to put a ring on it (before grey hair and wrinkles set in), I might just have found my ideal photographer!
