I was so excited when my sister-in-law called me and asked me to do her little boy’s fireman birthday party. She wanted to do a Vintage Fireman theme and I knew we could come up with all kinds of really cool decorations and activities.

I love doing parties and am always looking for ways to make the details on an economical budget. I’ve included tutorials at the bottom for other crafty moms out there! Overall, I was so pleased with how everything turned out and both the kids and adults had a blast! Enjoy the pics!

Fireman Kids Party

Luke and I before the party – this is the cake table. We elected to go with red, white and teal for the colors for a bit of uniqueness.

Isn’t this cake amazing!!??

Fireman Birthday Party DIY Fire Engines

These DIY fire engines were so easy to make out of cardboard boxes. Just cut the tops and bottoms off, spray paint and then cut wheels out of the flaps that you cut off and glue those on.

Fireman Birthday Party Drinks

You can pretty much buy soda in any color at the grocery store now. I then just designed a cute graphic and printed them on labels so you can just stick the graphic right on.

Fireman Birthday Party Favors

Little favors full of goodies for the guests.

Fireman Birthday Party Utensil Wraps

I wrapped napkins around the utensils and the tied with thin rope and a label for festive utility packs.

Fireman Birthday Party DIY Centerpieces

This is a really great idea for affordable centerpieces. I covered old formula cans with paper and then glued the tissue poms to the stick (DIY below). Much more affordable than flowers and a good option for boys parties.

Hi Teri! It’s very easy! You just measure the area of the bottle where the label is going to go and then create the design in any design program you have. I recommend printing on a full-sheet of label paper (the kind that just peels off to reveal the sticky side). You can buy it at any office supply store. If you are working on a party, I’d be happy to talk with you about designing something for you. Email me at tori@torijohnsonpr.com if interested.
